
Peter E. Rydell, DDS
Dentist
Our friendly dentist, Dr. Rydell, was born and raised in Rice Lake. He went to St. Olaf College and graduated with a double major in biology and psychology. Following graduation, he attended dental school at Marquette University in Milwaukee and graduated in 1987.
Dr. Rydell worked in Grantsburg and Webster before buying the Hayward practice from Dr. Bentley in the fall of 1994. He enjoys getting to know each patient he treats and is dedicated to working at the highest standard of excellence. Outside of the office, Dr. Rydell enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, skiing, dog training, riding his snow mobile and playing with his Labrador.

Amanda
Office Co-Manager
Amanda joined us in March 2020 and enjoys getting to know our patients personally and learning how she can best assist them throughout their treatment. In addition to her background in the field of dentistry, Amanda received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and international finance from Louisiana State University, as well as an associate degree in culinary arts from the University of Hawaii and Maui.
Around the office, Amanda performs a range of work, from maintaining our patient schedule all the way to implementing important COVID-19 protocols to keep our patients safe. During her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running, kayaking, knitting, quilting and reading. Amanda and her fiancé are both proud parents of a French Bulldog.
Dori
Office Co-Manager
In January 2019, Dori became our office co-manager! She performs her role at our practice with full attention to detail, helping sort out insurance policies and billing options for our patients. She also works closely with the VA to help take care of our local veterans. Dori enjoys the opportunity to be a part of our office and feels at home in the friendly atmosphere that our team and patients create together. At home, Dori and her children love outdoor activities in the Northwoods that they call home. Fall is their favorite season for apple picking and trips to the pumpkin patch!
Mackenzie
Certified Dental Assistant
Mackenzie is one of our wonderful dental assistants, and she joined the practice in February 2021 after graduating from the WITC Dental Assistant Program in 2016. She loves the welcoming and friendly atmosphere of Rydell Family Dental and has a strong passion for dentistry and dental assisting. Mackenzie and her husband, Lester, have a daughter, Aiyana, and a son, River. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with her family and being outdoors!
Abigail
Dental Assistant
Abigail joined our team in August 2021, and she loves working with such an amazing group of people. She loves helping patients feel comfortable and getting to know them.
Abigail and her husband, Cyle, have a son, Nolan, and a daughter, Charlotte. When she has spare time, she spends it with her family and friends, going to live concerts and being outdoors!

Jamie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jamie is our kind and caring hygienist. Jamie graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College with a degree in dental hygiene and has been practicing with Dr. Rydell for over 10 years. She enjoys people and making a healthy impact on their lives. Jamie is happily married to her husband, Bart, and they have three beautiful children.
In her spare time, you will find Jamie spending time with family, cooking, gardening, fishing and reading.
Paula
Registered Dental Hygienist
Paula joined our practice in September 2020 as our dental hygienist after graduating from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in 1996. She deeply enjoys being a part of the practice, where she can help each patient have a healthy mouth and, in turn, achieve better overall health. She currently works in the Northwoods area along with her husband, Chuck. They love to spend time on Long Lake fishing and boating with their family. They currently have two sons and six grandchildren.
